Cactus Vegan Leather is one of the most innovative plant based alternatives to leather. Surprisingly soft to touch while also offering exceptional quality, and it's environment-friendly. It performs incredibly well under the most rigorous quality and environmental standards, and avoids using toxic chemicals.
The cactus plant doesn’t need a lot of water (practically 0), and it doesn't affect development, so it can keep growing as normal. Also, the remaining material doesn’t go to waste, as it is sold internationally to the food industry.
The nopal is capable of growing on land where other crops won’t prosper.
It takes approximately 3 leaves of cactus to create one linear meter of vegan napa.
We only cut the mature leaves of the plant without damaging the plant itself.
It only takes 200 liters to grow one kilogram of cactus biomass, compared to 1000 liters (on average) to grow the same kilogram from other crops.
In only 14 acres of organic cactus plantations, we can absorb 8,100 tons of CO2 per year.
Nopal plantations can be used as water and carbon reserves on arid and semi-arid regions where climate is erratic.

It can be used for the restoration of degraded land in many countries, it is the only crop which can be trusted where all the others have failed. This plant in its own right should be seen as one of the miracles of nature.
The increase of nopal plantations can be a strategy to relieve the accumulation of CO2 in the atmosphere. Nopal plantations can be used as water and carbon reserves on arid and semi-arid regions where climate is erratic.
In only 14 acres of organic cactus plantations, we can absorb 8,100 tons of CO2 per year, while at the farm we only generate 15.30 tons of CO2 annually.
The selected cactus is very resilient and strong, it can handle low temperatures during winter without dying and its thorns are very small so it’s easier and safer for our agriculture team to harvest.
No irrigation system is used as the cactus grows naturally with rain water, moisture from the air and the earth's minerals. So the plant does not require water at all!
Only mature leaves of the cactus plant are selected and cut which ensures the cactus is not damaged at all and allows the rest of the plant to grow, enabling repeated harvesting from the same plant.
Once harvested, the cactus is cleaned and processed, dried under the sun for 3 days until achieving the exact humidity levels that we seek, which means there’s no additional energy used in the drying process.
Then we process the organic raw material to make the cactus nappa. The remaining organic cactus material that isn’t used is exported and sold nationally in the food industry.
