This time we have stated a new purpose through our collaboration with Bags of Ethics, which is promoting the empowerment of women. Bags of Ethics plays a positive role in the fashion industry all around the world and we have had to make great efforts to find them, but it’s been worthy.
The slogan ‘YOU ARE WHAT YOU CARRY’ is the motto of our suppliers in India. By carrying our tote bags, you will stand out as a representative for less carbon emissions and a toxic-free environment. The ink and dyes that are used in our tote bags are officially REACH compliant, which shows our suppliers are as eco-minded as we are. Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a certification of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals.
90% OF THE MANUFACTURING TEAM ARE WOMEN SUPPORTING THEIR FAMILIES
We have been able to meet the tailoring and manufacturing teams through our manufacturer Supreme Creations, sister company of Bags of Ethics, and have ensured they work under fair working conditions. We think it is important to highlight these women are backbones of their communities and they are taking the lead now. These amazing women don’t play traditional roles, they are changing the game while they work to bring you a memorable product. Bags of Ethics always celebrates the work they do and has a great sense of respect for all the people involved in this process.
ETHICAL TOTE BAGS
MADE TO BE USED OVER 5,000 TIMES
The concept of unity in diversity can be instantly seen among the women and men working at the factory because they share the workspace. Each member of the staff is equally respected and has religious freedom, in addition, cultural differences are always celebrated. We can proudly say that places for worship and meditation are available on-site for all staff members.
We chose to be part of this collaboration because Supreme Creations stood out to us from the beginning. The majority of their staff has been committed to their craft for over 14 years. Each member of the staff is certain that they are a vital part of the supply chain thus the factory has been labeled to have one of the lowest turnover rates in the textile industry. The staff is encouraged to share their opinions to improve everyday processes such as cutting, merchandising, tailoring, printing, quality control, and packing. Taking everything into consideration, we trust that we are delivering you the quality that you expect from SAYE and together offering you both a great product and a vehicle of change.
FRESH AIR SOCKS
MADE OF 100% CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON IN BARI, ITALY.
Whenever we come up with some new item to our collection, it means we have considered it already in terms of quality, sustainability, and comfort. Our new collection of Fresh Air Socks is the perfect representation of how all three aspects are balanced while complementing each other. We are certain that the organic cotton our supplier provides will deliver a superior quality and feel to this collection of wearables.
NATURE, HEALTH AND PEOPLE ARE RESPECTED AS PROMISED
We respect nature, so for us it was a simple choice to make. The cotton of our socks grows without the presence of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Once the level of maturity is optimal, the cotton is harvested manually and goes through a double quality control process. The color of the yarns used in this collection can be striking at first sight but we assure you that no carcinogenic or allergenic colorants were used during the dyeing process. Both us and our Italian supplier are part of a sustainable development program that guarantees safe and fair working conditions for the textile workers, cotton producers and cotton pickers.
